Absolutely incredible experience with Caketopia! The cake was not only stunning to look at, but it was also unbelievably delicious—and the fact that it was 100% gluten-free makes it even better! Despite the delivery location being quite far, it arrived right on time, perfectly intact, and beautifully presented. Everyone at the party was raving about it. I will definitely be ordering again!
Hi! I absolutely loved the Black Forest Gateaux ❤️ My favourite part was actually the crunchy/crispy layer — it added such a beautiful texture and made the cake really special.
The whole cake was amazing, from the flavours to the presentation. The mirror-like finish was absolutely gorgeous — honestly one of the most beautiful cakes I’ve ever had! It felt like such an elegant, elevated take on a Black Forest rather than a traditional version, which I really loved.
I’d also love to see even more cake selections from you in the future! My boyfriend’s birthday is coming up, so I’d definitely be interested in something special and elegant for his birthday too. 😊
This birthday cake was absolutely delicious. Chris was very efficient and the cake was ready for us as requested. I would highly recommend Chris he is an amazing baker and the cake looked amazing. We will definitely be back to purchase more cakes from him. Once again the cake was amazing . HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
i only shopped for this because it had a one day delivery on weekends turn around, but the cake itself was honestly as impressive as the images showed, and tasty too boot.
I ordered 3 types of these cakes for my boyfriends 30th birthday, the strawberry and basil big cake, mango and mint small cakes and gluten free blackforest gateaux. Everybody loved them! They were so stunning and an incredible mix of flavours and were so well received by everyone. In addition, I got feedback from my gluten free friend saying that the black forest gateaux was the best desert she's had since her GF diagnosis 2 years ago and she was very happy to be able to enjoy a desert like everyone else. Thanks so much to Cris for making this day even more special and for the care and dedication he clearly puts into these cakes - would highly recommend for a special ocassion!

I was initially upset because the cake didn't match the website picture. When I called Chris, he explained that he left out the chocolate glaze to improve the taste. After eating it, I agree it tasted incredible and his culinary instinct was spot on! I only wish this adjustment had been communicated to me beforehand so that I wouldn’t be caught off guard. Overall, a wonderful-tasting cake.

This is a long review - because Cris and this cake absolutely deserve it!
I cannot stress how incredible this cake is! I got this cake for my Mam’s 65th birthday/retirement. Open your eyes and ears and listen to me when I say - every single person that day was “wowed” - I'm not over exaggerating.
1) The cake is just as stunning in person as in the photos
2) it tastes DIVINE!
I chose this flavour because my mam used to make a single layer sponge cake with raspberry jam and shredded coconut on top when I was growing up. So when I saw this flavour combo on the website - I thought it was a lovely nod to that cake and those memories. I am going to be very transparent with you - I was very nervous that the coconut would be too strong like a can of coconut cream or too synthetic tasting like liqueur or suncream. If that is also your worry - STOP! ✋ The coconut flavour was PERFECT 👌 The coconut is an all natural flavour and is brilliantly balanced by the sharper, tangy and sweet raspberry layer - making it more of a gentle and creamy coconut flavour. Plus with the addition of the vanilla? It was heaven! It is a truly stunning cake and Cris is a stupidly talented human being! I can’t get over how talented he is.
Everyone on the day was gobsmacked when they saw the cake! All the staff in the venue when I was getting the cake ready to sing happy birthday and all the guests (especially my Mam) when I brought the cake in. Not ONE person could get over how unique, unusual and beautiful the cake was! Everyone was so excited to tuck in and try it. Within 10 minutes 3/4 of the cake was completely gone! As a thank you to the staff for looking after us so well - we left (heavy heartedly) the last quarter of the cake for them to eat. We knew the staff were interested in the cake because they kept commenting about how cool the cake was all evening. The staff told us that they see hundreds of cakes a month served at birthday parties and this was the most beautiful cake they had ever seen ❤️
I truly can’t wait to purchase my next cake from Cris. I have been seriously trying to figure out how I could even bring a cake down to Waterford for future family members brithdays while keeping it cold! 😂 I want everyone to be able to experience and enjoy Cris’ creations! I can’t wait to see Cris and his business keep growing and growing. He deserves nothing less than all the success and recognition!
